London & East Sussex Wedding Photographer

My name Is Victoria Dawe and I am the proud owner of Elegant and Wild Wedding Photography. We specialise in documentary wedding photography, also known as reportage wedding photography or wedding photojournalism.

We are based in London and East Sussex, and we are more than happy to travel to any destination throughout the UK or overseas.

I started off as a society press photographer, photographing big celebrity events for the Bystander column of Tatler for many years. It was a natural progression for me to move into photographing weddings as so many people asked for my services at these events.

Alongside weddings, I work as a journalist for UNICEF and Comic Relief, following the experiences of various celebrities and ambassadors as they travel to the corners of the world, to see how these amazing charities change the lives of so many vulnerable children and adults.

We are selected by many high-profile, celebrity clients as we are very discreet and never distribute their images on social media or anywhere without permission. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement if you would prefer your images to remain private. In addition, I am privileged to be one of the very few selected to photograph HM the Queen alongside other members of the royal family during events at Buckingham Palace, so I would also describe myself and my style as a society wedding photographer and photojournalist.

We love to tell stories through pictures and feel that the albums we produce describe all the special moments of real emotion you experience, along with a few beautiful portraits and group shots, and of course some carefully selected details, your beautiful flowers, place settings and so on.

We hope to show you something you didn’t see and remind you of a special moment you both shared, as you look at the Images and re-live your day.

Clients that book with us tend to want a photographer who will follow the flow of the day and take as little time as possible to create a few portraits and group shots, so the bride and groom can have as much time as possible socialising with their guests.

I was hand-picked to be one of the main contributors to the Debrett’s wedding guide, which shows you the best way to plan and organise your wedding. As the trusted authority on etiquette and social style, this guide translates traditional codes of conduct into modern terms. Here is a personal note from the editor, whose wedding I had the pleasure of photographing.

“Victoria’s exceptional photography tells the unique story of the wedding day. her style and attention to Detail Capture Every Moment In An Unexpected And Beautiful Way.” Jo Bryant, Editor of the Debrett’s Wedding Guide.

I work alongside some other great photographers and videographers on my team, as some events require more than one photographer and sometimes moving image. To find out more Contact Us
