One Year on, a celebration to this amazing, special couple.

I was over the moon when Sam and Tristan asked me to photograph their wedding. Sam sang beautifully at our wedding and Tristan created an epic lighting display and sound system, so I was delighted that I could help out on their wedding day.

They were married at a small local church, near where they live in Cornwall, followed by a wedding reception on some land close by.

Sam looked stunning in a dress made by Ivory and co her friends Louize and Khanh helped in the morning with her hair and make up and they travelled to the church in a car provided by her father, driven by Terry.

The ceremony was intimate and touching, Emily sang beautifully to music by Roger king and after some group shots and portraits everyone travelled to the reception to enjoy drinks in the sunshine, with music by Hamer and co jazz trio, before dinner. We all knew which way to go due to a beautifully crafted sign, made by Gary Wilcocks.

I loved the blue and white, big top style marquee by Ashley events this was decorated beautifully with lots of help from family and friends.

The selection of naked wedding cakes looked incredible, expertly created by the brides mother, who also made all the beautiful bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids.

I knew this was Triston’s wedding the moment I clapped eyes on the stage and sound system, WOW, that was a creation and a half, but it worked !!!!!

The speeches were heartfelt and hilarious and then the party started, this kicked off with a Ceilidh band Amber fire, its no surprise music featured heavily in this wedding, Later there was a performance by Kings Colobus on stage followed by the Gruff Nuts.

The party went on to the wee hours of the morning of course !!! A wedding ill never forget, happy anniversary to you both. May your love shine on.

The best is yet to come !!!!!!

With love your dear friend Victoria  xxxx

Hannah and Richard were married at the Divine infant of Prague Catholic church in Syston Leicester, which is close to the home where the bride grew up.

Hannah had decorated the garden with lots of home made bunting which looked amazing. I arrived early and she was buzzing around the garden looking glamorous with her hair up in a silk dressing gown.

If there is one thing I could say about this wedding, this Bride has style, and she put a lot of thought and care into all the little details she chose. To decorate the marquee, there was a grand piano in the corner, which was played through dinner and the tables were decorated with pastel floral centre pieces, accented with silver and white details. I loved the cushions around the seating area, which spelled out Jolly, their surname. All around there were beautiful subtle bursts of colour from the flower displays and a stunning love heart wreath, created by the talented Stuart Maidment.

The bridesmaids were all dressed in Lilac, each dress had a small love heart on the hanger, with the name of each bridesmaid embroidered onto it and the wedding date, a sweet little touch.

The bride looked stunning in a dress bought from the wedding room, designed by La Sposa and altered by Catherine Berry, Beeston. This was paired with a beautiful veil designed by Joyce Jackson.

Her mother and sisters helped her get dressed and we all went outside to photograph a few portraits before travelling to the church.

After a touching ceremony Richard carried his bride out of the church and they were both showered with confetti before the short drive back to the house for the reception.

The weather was glorious, guests enjoyed champagne and wine with canapes  in the garden. Hannah and Richard wanted lots of group shots as they have a big family and lots of friends they wanted to be photographed with.

After a few hours in the garden enjoying the sunshine, guests were called into the marquee for speeches, this is where the groom really shone, he gave one of the most incredible, heartfelt speeches I think I have every heard, the room was in tears and you really understood how much he loved his bride, the new Mrs Jolly!

After a delicious dinner by Fiona Herbert catering, guests moved onto the dance floor and dance the night away. I stayed until the end as there was a grand finale, guests lined the pathway holding sparklers and lit up the garden, a perfect ending to a great day.

Annie and George were married at the church of St Thomas and St Richards in the Parish of Winchelsea, a stones throw away form the brides parents house, where the bride got ready and they later they held a drinks reception after the ceremony.

Annie looked stunning in a dress by Eliza Jane Howell and Jimmy choo shoes.

During the service held by the canon Robin Whitehead, the London Welsh male voice choir sang beautifully, accompanied by the organ, played by Fred Goodwin.

At the reception the guests enjoyed drinks and canopies on the lawn in glorious sunshine, the sparkling wine was produced locally by Charles Palmer from Winchelsea, there was also white and red wine from Lea and Sandeman and Beer by the Nene Valley brewery courtesy of David Burnett. The choir also sang later at the reception to a brass band, by Ellis Brass.

After the reception, guests walked across the village to the local cricket ground to dine in a marquee, beautifully decorated with Flowers and trees by Alex Ball. The bride and groom followed the guests in a vintage car, after a few portraits in the garden and near the church.

It was a lovely summer afternoon, one side of the marquee was open so you could enjoy the views across the valley. The speeches were brilliant especially one given by the mother of the bride who used a clip from junior master chef, a show that the bride had appeared on.

After the sun went down the party got started, i’m not sure who created the playlist but they did a great job as the dance floor was packed and at one point I think everyone on it was jumping !!!!

Chloe and James were married at St Bartholomew’s church, a short drive from their beautiful home in Worcester where they held the reception.

The day before the wedding Chloe was busy putting all the finishing touches to the table plan and decorations in the marquee, there were a group of friends and family were busy catching up with each other while making the large colourful hand made flowers that were placed around the sides of the marquee, children ran around and played and the atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming.

The marquee was a white poll tent decorated with splashes of colour thanks to Bella Blake and Georgie Scott- Kerr for the bunting and the flowers which were arranged on each table and around the marquee, grown and picked by Jo & Henry Deakin and Timmy their gardener.

The morning of the wedding James and ushers went clay pigeon shooting while Chloe prepared in a hotel near by, she looked effortlessly stunning in her dress made by Temperley and a tiara from David Deakin, Deakin Design, with colorful bouquets made by a florist in Worcester ‘Beautiful Flowers’.

Mean while at the ushers lunch the groom handed out the most amazing cufflinks by Deakin & Francis, which were little silver skulls decorated with plumes of various furs and feathers.

The drive to the church was eventful as the bride and her brother sped off in an open top car and got caught out on route by a few showers, they tried to shelter from the rain improvising with a couple of umbrellas, but these kept blowing open, luckily they saw the funny side and just kept moving.

After the ceremony everyone returned to the house for a garden party in the sunshine.

During dinner there were some hilarious speeches and a visit by lucky the chicken who roamed about meeting guests and joining

Enjoying the atmosphere.

One of the brides friends gave them a really thoughtful gift of a bottle of wine that would age well and be better in 10 years, she asked the bride and groom to write each other a love letter in secret and got them to nail the box shut with the love letter inside, to be opened in ten years, amazing !!!!

After dinner they cut the cake, made by Annie Deakin a very creative design with a champing glass tipping over on top and there was a fly by from Midland Power motors a friend of James Nick Wall.

After some drinks in the evening sun the party started, there were lots of animal heads and various fancy dress outfits and items like a huge blow up banana and outrageous wigs placed around the tables so guests were dressed up through dinner, more fancy dress outfits were provided for the photo booth and donned the dance floor where they danced the night away to one of my favourite wedding bands 29 fingers.

Emma and Harry were married in Great Rissington’s beautiful church, a stone’s throw away from Emma’s family home in the Cotswold village.

The reception was held in the garden of the house, which was breath-taking: tunnels of wisteria, a huge variety of flowers and a bridge over a water feature were just a few of the delights to behold.

Emma wore a wedding dress made by Marco & Maria, worn with a circlet of fresh flowers.

The flower displays in the dining marquee & on the tables were lovingly arranged by Helen Priday, Caz Knight and Alex Fenton.

There were also some beautiful flower arrangements at the church created by Mel Houldsworth, Cookie Battiau, Susie Sutton and Rachel of Green and Gorgeous

After the touching ceremony conducted by Nicky Lee, with guitar played by Craig Ogden during the signing of the register,  the bride and groom had fun running through a tunnel of confetti and then walked with guests to the house, where they all enjoyed a relaxed champagne reception in the garden.

There were some delightful and unusual Canapes created by Love Bites. The delicious vanilla sponge cake was made by Sally Price and decorated with tiny sugar lily of the valley.

After a few hours dinner was served in the marquee:  hot salmon and asparagus tartlets with hollandaise; roast guinea fowl with thyme and mushrooms, spicy roasted potatoes and summer vegetables; trio of mini puddings served on vintage cake tiers;  cheese platters accompanied by port at the special request of Harry;  later mini croque monsieurs as midnight munchy; all created by Polly Parsons of Hassle Free Weekends

Summer cocktails were served after dinner with fresh mint teas and petits fours and Cotswold fudge.

The star of the show was of course the lovely Daisy, the family dog a gorgeous little Norfolk terrier.

After dinner the bride and groom took to the dance floor surrounded by everyone holding sparklers, the band –Jazzbomb was sensational, led by Charlie as the lead singer. They really got the party started and the guests danced the night away.

James and Anna were married at Godwick Hall in Norfolk near Kings Lynn, one of the loveliest wedding locations I’ve seen, with everything you need in one place.

There, surrounded by pastures green, picturesque ancient ruins and a few sheep, is the Great Barn, beautifully converted to host a wedding and reception and to top this off there is a Luxury B&B where the bride and bridesmaids prepared in the morning.

Anna looked stunning in her lace detail dress made by Ellis and the bridesmaids looked beautiful in full length dresses, a lovely shade of coral, which was highlighted by the flowers they were holding, created by the lovely Judy, Anna’s aunt.

James who runs the location was incredibly helpful and approachable, a great touch was the fact he drove the bride to the Barn in a tractor with a converted trailer, accompanied by her father and her sons.

I loved that James and Anna were married outside by a beautiful floral display, created by Swaffham & Fakenham Florist, in the grounds of the barn. It was touch and go if they could tie the knot outside, but thankfully the sun decided to break through the clouds at the last moment. At the ceremony the guests sat on bales of hay which were covered in a collection of colourful mismatched throws, these were collected and borrowed by the bride and groom on the run up to the wedding and they looked great. This and the tipi tent they pitched outside the barn added to the overall festival / bohemian vibe.

After a touching ceremony James and Anna walked to the barn to sign the register and make their marriage official, while the guests gathered to make a confetti tunnel to celebrate with them as they walked out of the barn to enjoy their garden party.

Later the bride and groom were driven in the same tractor and trailer to the ruins for some portraits of the two of them and we photographed some family group shots by the floral display where they had their ceremony.

The barn was decorated with lots of lovely home made touches, the colourful paper lanterns that hung in the rafters, and the jam jars of flowers which were also arranged by Judy. The table favours that were lovingly made by the bride, little pots of chilli jam with a note “we’re jammin” or a jar of pear drops with “A great pear” noted on a love heart. There were lots of fairy lights that came with the barn and they had their initials J&A up in lights.

Anna’s mum did a great job of making the wedding cake and her father sanded and oiled the log slice it was served on.

The guests sat down to dine on a mix of amazing tapas and sharing plates of food up and down the trestle tables. James and Anna were keen for the food to be delicious but informal and, as tapas is their favourite kind of food, they decided to choose this to enjoy with their guests.

The speeches were hilarious and heart warming and then they danced the night away to a great band Aloma Music who played all their favourite hits.

Bella and James were married at The St Mary the Virgin Church at Salehurst, a stones throw from her parents home in Robertsbridge where the reception took place.

The church itself is very picturesque, I loved the delicate floral display on the arch outside, which offered a beautiful burst of pink to the exterior.

There was lots going on at the house in the morning, with bride and bridesmaids getting ready, flower girls getting their head dresses put on and finishing touches to the marquee.

The flower displays in the marquee where incredible, these were created by family friends, Biddy and Helena.  The tables had smaller displays of flowers gathered in vases, these, the bouquets and flowers for the bridesmaids hair were created by Fiona wright, also a family friend.

Bella looked flawless in her dress Ocumo by Pronovia.

After the church service all the guests travelled back to the house for a garden party, The bride and groom travelled in style in a vintage classic car. The weather was perfect, a beautiful warm summers afternoon with some showers later, which passed unnoticed as we were all in the marquee by then, everyone enjoyed the champagne reception and the most extraordinary canapes on the lawn.  We gathered for a few group photographs at the front of the house before congregating in the marquee for the father of the bride speech and the cutting of the cake.

While people took there seats and during dinner there was a magician moving around the tables entertaining guests called Richard Bellars  he was great fun. The catering was exceptional provided by Jimmy Garcia, After dinner and speeches a live band, the Kickstarters kicked off and the guests danced the night away in style.

Sian and Joe were married at the Cathedral Church of St Marie, followed by a short ride in a wedding tram to the reception at Kelham Island Museum.

Sian looked stunning in a beautiful lace detail dress, accented with a dusky pink and white rose bouquet created by swallows and damsons. I loved the portraits of her and her bridesmaids against the blossom tree backdrop near their home, where she and her bridesmaids got ready.

The Reception was decorated with a personal image of each guest with the bride and goom (where possible) as a place setting, which was a lovely personal touch and Les Brooksbank, Sian’s Uncle created an intricate hand drawing for each table setting. Sian and Joe would like to Thank Les again as they were so happy with these beautiful drawings and they will treasure them for years to come.

Many of the guests had baked a huge variety of cakes for the dessert table which looked great and were enjoyed by many, I had one of the chocolate brownies which was delicious!!!!

The speeches were brilliant and they danced the night away to a great band The Entertainment Company UK
