Laura and Douglas were married at Penn church, near to her parents house in Buckinghamshire, which was followed by a reception at the beautiful Hedsor house.
At the end of the church ceremony they turned off the lights and sung the last carol by candle light, which looked beautiful and added to the feeling of christmas which followed in a few weeks.
The bride and groom travelled from the church to the reception in a 1925 Vauxhall 30-98 and the ushers in a 1930s Riley 9. Both owned by Douglas’ family.
Laura looked stunning in a dress by Caroline Castigliano. The flowers were arranged by the talented Sue and Lucy Barton who have a family run business locally.
Each table, at dinner in the ballroom, was named a chorus from the twelve days of Christmas and after dinner there was a competition to see who could sing their chorus the loudest !
